An scéal céanna sna nuachtáin http://www.gaelport.com/index.php?page=clippings&id=1712&viewby=date quote:Students have joined forces with the Irish language organisation, Conradh na Gaeilge, to press for a major overhaul in the teaching of the subject. http://www.gaelport.com/index.php?page=clippings&id=1713&viewby=date quote:Trainee primary school teachers should have to spend the equivalent of at least one academic year being taught in a Gaeltacht college, while all primary school students should be taught Irish and a second subject such as drama through Irish, according to new proposals launched yesterday.
http://www.gaelport.com/index.php?page=clippings&id=1714&viewby=date quote:Is cáipéis í seo a bhfuil sé mar aidhim aici oideachas Gaeilge a fheabhsú trí thacaíocht a chur ar fáil do mhúinteoirí agus athchóiriú a dhéanamh ar oiliúint oidí.

"should... "would... "recommendations "phased in during lifetime of next government All very weak. How about: Selling a small section of the holiday homes the parents own in the Gaeltacht, building their own academy, staffed only by the most competent, native or learned teachers, and situated in the Gaeltacht, while offering classes and other services to tide it over while taking the government to court in Ireland and Europe in order to force it to provide the teacher training which would be under the banner of 'needed services'. Also, a propaganda compaign to situate in the publics mind the Government as racist and acting with inequality when dealing with an important minority. Demand and shout and make noise! Become an 'interest group'. |

Beidh mé á léamh anocht, a Mhaidhc! á [aidiacht shealbhach] aidiacht shealbhach sa tríú pearsa le hainmneacha briathartha (á chosaint, á cosaint, á gcosaint; bhí sé á gceannach; bhí siad á gceannach aige). |

tá an fadhb céanna san tuairaisc seo agus atá i go leor tuairaiscí a curtar ar fáil sa tír seo. Tá aidhmeanna agus spriocanna ach níl focal ar bith ar cén bealach a cuirfear i bhfeidhm iad. Tá caint tarraingte ag scolairí a chur go dtí na Gaeltachtaí agus i gcostais ar fheabhsú na dtithe dóibh bhuel céard faoi na múinteoirí bochta?.Níl na Stáit Seirbhísí sásta dílárnú ar fud na tíre - níl mórán muinín agam as na múiteoirí a bheidh sáta ach an oiread. Cé a gcleachtóidh siad leis chun a nGaeilge a fheabhsú? An n-íocfaidh an stát na daoine chun na múinteoirí a mhúineadh? An mbeidh daoine sásta socrú síos i n-áiteacha iargúlta ar feadh bliana? Níl i ndóthain ama i mbliain amháin chun Gaeilge líofa soiléar a fhoghlaim. |

Táimse den tuairim nach nglacann an Rialtas leis na moltaí móra mar gheall ar chumhacht na meán. Evening Herald, Irish Independent and all the rest of Independent Media would accuse the govt of wasting taxpayers money.. Of course that'd do the govt no favours. The competition aren't strong enough. Níl an iomaíocht sách láidir in aon chor! A people without a language of its own is only half a nation.A nation should guard its language more than its territories, 'tis a surer barrier and a more important frontier than mountain or river
