My last name is Irish and i would like to know its translation "horgan". I would also like to know what 'Amor et pax' means the motto from our family coat of arms. thanx

(O) Horgan - Ó hArgáin. A County Cork name which takes the form Hourigan in County Limerick, and sometimes Arragan in south Waterford and Tipperary. This arises from the earlier Irish form "Ó hArragáin".

Amor et pax. Love and peace.

And it is latin, not Irish (Amor et Pax)
