Ahhh, a typo in my subject line! Now where did that extra o come from in hiontach? It must be the O in OUTSTANDING meant for Aonghus.

You could say either "Tá Aonghus go hiontach" or "Is iontach an fear é Aonghus", not "*Is Aonghus go hiontach" ;-)

Tír Chonaill abú!

Is iontach an áis google! Dá bharr a bhí sé ar mo chumas na teachtaireachtaí thuasluaite a chuir le chéile.

Ní hiontas ar bith é gaeilge a bheith agamsa; tógadh lei mé.

Is iontaí go mór sibhse ó thar lear a bheith ag fáil seilbh uirthi.

Is maith liomsa Aonghus freisin.

He had the guts to be brave and meet my scary self in person so well done him. :) He is the only reason I would even momentarily consider going back to the East Coast of Ireland since most things worth my attention seemed to be in the West.

Beir bua agus beannacht

Quote: He had the guts to be brave and meet my scary self in person so well done him. :) I could only imagine how tongue tied I would be in talking with such a fluent Irish speaker as Aonghus. My Irish brain would freeze and I would clam up no doubt. I hope Aonghus is as patient in person as he is cyberspace. My family has relatives in Dublin who we hope to see again in the near future so Dublin is a draw for us as well, even though the west of Ireland has my heart. Our family's family is from Ruán in Countae Clár and we have family living in Dún na nGall. Tír Chonaill abú!
