N'fheadar. European Summer Time, seans. Chum mise AIE. http://www.worldtimezones.com/ Tá liosta anseo, ach níl ciall le EST d'Éireann. http://www.timeanddate.com/library/abbreviations/timezones/ Cá bhfeiceann tú EST ag TG4? |

Eastern Standard Time. GMT a fheicimse (Greenwich Mean Time) Is dócha go bhfuil siad ag aistriú an t-am de réir an t-eolas atá ar do ríomhaire. |

Perhaps it does not match with our EST because we follow Daylight Savings Time? Níl a fhios agam. Maidhc Bím ag foghlaim Fáilte Roimh Cheartú

Dia dhuit A Mhaic, Tá sé a haon deag riomh a naoi i nAlbuquerque. 1. Is it "tá sé a haon" or "tá sé aon"? 2. Do we put "naoi" alone or "naoi a chlog" in this case? 3. If it were 8:35, would you say "tá sé a cúig is fiche riomh a naoi" or "tá sé fiche cúig riomh a naoi"? |

Is fíor sin: EST Eastern Standard Time. Tuigim anois. Chuala mé ar maidin ag 06:30 - 07:00 EST Timpeall na Tíre (OS) Cuid de scéalta nuachta réigiúnacha na seachtaine seo ó Nuacht TG4. Some of the stories from this week's regional news as seen on Nuacht TG4. EST is so obvious, but then I did not know that TG4 based it on a time zone in America, unless, of course, as you say, Aonghus, it is adjusted for where the schedule is seen. TG4 also lists the schedule in Military Time based on a 24 hour period. What threw me off was due to the gaps in TG4's schedule. Now there's a goal - 24 hour programming. And DVD's for sale of its programs. And a more robust archive of digital content. Maidhc Bím ag foghlaim Fáilte Roimh Cheartú

James, you need a Celtic font, or a unicode font. And then the easiest thing to do is to cut and paste from the character table, if you use windows. and then use the gaelach tab here (as you have done before) Beir bua Aonġuſ |

quote:How did you get the 'dots' to appear instead of 'h' in your messages? I use a keyboard software called "Europatastatatur" which makes it very easy (altgr+. and c = ċ). It was made for German keyboards. But perhaps a similar software exists for English keyboards. quote:Laɼſ, cárb as sean-"s"? It is part of most fonts but hard to find, unfortunately even in Cló Gaelach fonts though long s and r are necessary there because both are the normal lower-case letters of s and r. You can use SGML entity names in this forum. Just type in "#383" between "&" and ";" and you get a long s: ſ. A long r is "#636": ɼ. Lars |

From what I've noticed, RTE is always exactly 8 hrs. ahead of me, even when we have daylight savings time. Does the time in Ireland change depending on the time of year as it does on the West Coast of America or am I just not paying enough attention. Beir bua agus beannacht |
