If anyone could help me translate these two phrases it would be very helpful. - Don't judge me. - Only God can judge me. Also i was wondering if the numbers are written the same in english as they are in irish. I needed to have the date of 11.1.06 also translated if the number are differently written than english. Thank you for the help :) |

A chara, The numbers are written the same, unless you wanted to spell out the words for the numbers, those are obviously different than the English but the numbers themselves are the same. Beir bua agus beannacht |

"Ná tabhair breithiúnas orm." Don't judge me. (addressed to one person) "Is é Dia amháin a thabharfaidh breithiúnas orm." Only God shall judge me. (FRC mar atá i gcónaí...) Abigail Tá fáilte roimh chuile cheartú!

When writing dates numerically note that the usual Irish convention is DD-MM-YY |

Only God can judge me would be literally in Irish: ní féidir ach le Dia breith a thabhairt orm = ní thig ach le Dia breith a thabhairt orm Tír Chonaill abú!

^ Sin díreach Gaeilge Uladh nach ea? Ní dhéanfaidh ach leis an Tiarna breith a thabhairt ormsa. Yes dd-mm-yy I've only ever seen americans use mm-dd-yy A people without a language of its own is only half a nation.A nation should guard its language more than its territories, 'tis a surer barrier and a more important frontier than mountain or river
