How to pronounce the name Maolmhaodhóg?
I would try to pronounce it as [mi:lvi:o:g] or [me:lve:o:g] but maybe it is [mi:lvo:g]/[me:lvo:g] or [mi:lvi:g]/[me:lve:g]? |

I'd say most people pronounce it as if it were spelled "Maológ". Ignore the "mhaodh" in the middle, it's a spelling oddity which may have been pronounced in the past but isn't in any longer.
You get this with names sometimes. People often like to keep the archaic spelling, even when the pronunciation has moved on. Another example is the Dublin placename "Dún Laoghaoire", which is really pronounced as if it were "Dún Laoire".

Maybe I'm the only person in the world to say this, but I don't really think that video is funny. I know its supposed to be ... but it doesn't come that way on me. But its cool that everyone else likes it.
