Are these the only Gaeltacht areas in Leinster? How Irish speaking are they? Anyone know about youth hostels or accommodation? Go raibh maith agaibh for your help ...

They are colonies founded in the 1930s from the western gaeltachts.

rath cairn was peopled from conamara only, and did well.

baile ghib people were drawn from a mixture of gaeltachts, and didn't do so well.

try gaelsaoire for accomodation.
