Dia duit,

If someone could please help, it would be much appreciated. My Gaeilge is VERY rusty. I can speak and comprehend, but I have a really hard time writing. Irish was common in my house when I was young, but I never took the time to learn grammar and etc.

Thank you!

If possible, I would like to write this in Irish...

Glad to hear you had a good time in NYC! First time in America?? I am doing ok, have been better. However, I did get a new job, so things will hopefully start looking up. I have a hard time writing Gaeilge, so in the future, if I tell you that I have arms made of banana's, you will know why.

Áthas orm a chloisteáil gur bhain tú sult as NYC! An chéad uair duit i Meiriceá? Tá mé féin cuíosach gan a bheith maíteach. Ach tá jab nua agam, mar sin tá súil agam go mbeidh rudaí ag dul i bhfeabhas. Is deacair dom scríobh i nGaeilge. Má deirim rud éigin aisteach nó áiféiseach leat, beidh a fhios agat cén fáth!

An ndéanfaidh seo cúis?

Ainneoin nach n-úsáidfinn an focal "jab" choíche, nach mbeadh "post" níos oiriúnaí? Ceapaim gurb ionann "jab" agus "beart oibre", ach go dtagraíonn "post" do "position in employment".

Ná húsáidigí focail Béarla agus sibh ag labhairt Gaeilge liom, le bhur dtoil. Ní thabharfaidh mé freagra do theachtaireacht ar bith a bhfuil "Gaeilge" neamhghlan inti.

Is fíor duit, a Fhear na mBróg. Bheadh "post" níos fearr sa chás seo.
