I can't say I'm that surprised :)

I wouldn't put Norway on third because I heard, correct me if I'm mistaken, that you can only name your children certain names in Norway. You can't just pick any name you like, it most be one that is pre-approved by whoever does that. That doesn't sound like freedom to me :( Of course there are much worse things to be forced into but choosing your child's name seems so obviously your own choice, unless you adopt a child who is no longer a baby.

An féidir leat an t-ainm Seáinín a thabhairt ar do pháiste san Iorua?

Níl a fhios agam.

an t-ainm

Ainm is baininscneach in Munster. So "an ainm" IS correct, too.

Go raibh maith agaibh a Dennis agus a Róman as na ceartúcháin.

Ainm is baininscneach in Munster. - an suimiúil a Róman! San Caighdeán Oifigúil, ainm is firinscneach - tá mé cinnte go bfhuil fhios agat. Mar sin, nuair a bheidh mé i Mumhan, déarfaidh an ainm.

Le meas,

The Mackster.
