Hi, folks. I'm from Spain, teacher of spanish language and it had been offered to me a post of language conversation assistant in the University of Galway. With my Resume I must write a letter of introduction and I would like to finish this letter with some appropriate words like "Yours faithfully", but in irish. Perhaps also some words to start with: "Dear Sir or Madam". Could you help me with the translation, please? And another point. I'm interested in the problems of minoritary languages. I'm a speaker of a minoritary language (Aragonese, down the the Pyrinees) too, and if I'm going to live in Ireland, I'd like to learn irish. Where can I do this? Is it possible in Galway? I guess it is. Best wishes Mika |

There is a "Gaeltacht" in Galway. A "Gaeltacht" is an area where the people speak Irish. As for writing the letter, you might try something like: A Julie, a chara I would like to... Is mise le meas, Mika Fáilte Roimh Cheartúcháin Ceartaigh rud ar bith atá mícheart -- úsáid phrásaí go háirithe.

Pues en ese caso " A Chara, " es suficiente. Caminante no hay camino, se hace camino al andar.
