Dia dhaoibh a chairde,
Bhain mé triail cúpla abairtín a aistriú. Beidh fáilte roimh aon ceartúchán! Go raibh maith agaibh.

Southern California Irish Studies Colloquium
Colloquium ó na Staidéir Gaelacha ó California Deisceartach

Rough Irish ("rough" in the sense of "approximate")
Gaeilge Gharbh

Poetic Irish
Gaeilge Fhiliúnta

The Lazy Irish (Irish as in the people of Ireland)
na hÉireannaigh Falsa

The Insurrectionary Irish
na hÉireannaigh Ceannairceacha

(No offense intended with the last two--it's for a discussion of colonial stereotyping)

Ceartaígí mo chuid Ghaeilge, le bhur dtoil!

I think rather than "Stáidéar," "Irish Studies" in a university tends to be "Léann Éireannach" - perhaps "Colloquium an Léinn Éireannaigh Deiscirt California," then.

"Falsa" is more or less "good-for-nothing"; if you want "lazy" specifically, I'd suggest "na hÉireannaigh Leisciúla."

However, I'm a learner myself, so one or both of these could be off the mark.

Abigail

Tá fáilte roimh chuile cheartú!

Abigail, you are correct - Léann is better than Staidéar
