I'd like to announce that the University of California, Santa Barbara is hosting the Southern California Irish Studies Colloquim (SCISC) on November 11th. The meeting is free and open to the public; the colloquium will include a panel on "Celtic Tiger Poetics", a paper on the politics of stereotypes of Irish laziness, and a film screening.

I'm also writing to ask if anyone would be willing to help me with a translation for this event. As an effort to put more emphasis on the Irish language this year, I'm trying to translate the colloquium's schedule/program into Irish. Ach níl Gaeilge líofa agam! I've had a go at it, but I would really appreciate it if anyone would be willing to take a look at what I've written and point out any errors or suggestions for better wording.
