Is ciúin correct in that sentence or should it be chomh ciúnmhar?

Tá an chéad cheann ceart. Cén fáth? Bhuel, "do" and "ro" are both past tense particles. You can only use one at a time, and you already have "ro" in "gur".

Yes. Or Micheál le 'i' gairid. Is dóigh liom go bhfuil an dara ceann seo níos coitianta i gConamara.

I generally use Mhíchíl as the genitive, but Mhícheáil is also correct. And the 'h'? Proper names are lenited in the genitive.
