I make have the spelling incorrect (FRC) but I have comme across both terms used in advertising as gaeilge for "website".

I'd be interested in hearing views on which is preferred

They're just two ways of saying the same thing. One is no less wrong grammatically than the other. Though I have noticed a more common usage of suíomh idirlín from experience.
