My favourite: from Daithí Ó Sé who does the weather on TG4: "Fan go bhfeicimid". , with plenty emphasis on the first word. |

maíth dhúit maith agaibh! a bhí i gceist agat, is dócha. Slán go fóill/Slán tamall Beir bua (do litreacha agus mar sin de) Le cúnamh Dé agus mar sin de. Ní thuigim i gceart cad tá uait. Tabhair samplaí dúinn, le'd thoil!

I use arís, le do thoil quite a bit, as I've some hearing difficulties. But that's also a handy phrase for beginners to know. Oftentimes there's a bit of a mental "lag time" for learners where they're taking in the words and mentally processing them, but not as quickly as their conversant is supplying them. http://www.gaeilge.org FRC - Fáilte Roimh Cheartúcháin

I'm fond of the phrase that I've heard: "Fan a wee bómaite." Gach beannacht, Paul |
