Is anyone familiar with this reporter from TG4?

To me, she has a very distinct voice AND accent.

I wonder where she is from? I would guess Kerry but I have an untrained ear.

Eimear has a very distinctive accent and very accurate pronunciation. I always associated her with "educated Cois Fharraige / Cois Fhairrge" but I'll have to listen more carefully next time. I would describe her Irish as "An Caighdeán Oifigiúil in a very precisely enunciated South Conamara accent". She could be from anywhere but her Irish is a joy to listen to.

It doesn't get any better than that!

I wish I could get TG4 without Broadban which is very expensive here and which my mother thinks is unnecessary to have, errrrrrrrrrrr.

Riona,

That's too bad. I was paying for TG4 for the last year or so, and could access it with or without broadband, but now as broadband only, I'm lucky to get it at home, since its blocked here at work. Maybe there's another broadband-based program or internet site that your mother likes and would help change her mind.
