Today I bought a copy of Teach Yourself's "Irish Grammar" by Eamonn O'Donaill. I know I should have gone to the Daltai first, but I had no idea when I would next get to the mall. At fist glance, it seems quite useful. Has anyone else bought this book?

I have it; it looks pretty good. It's written by the same fellow who did the "Now You're Talking" course. No relation to the Ó Sé & Shiels TYI course which gets mixed reviews here.

The same gent is also working on a TY "Irish Conversation" title.

Not anymore for some reason. The release date has been put back on TY Irish Conversation and its credited authors are Dónall Mac Ruairí and Dr Máire Mhic Ruairí..

I think it's good reference; it's useful to have all the rules written out in a book with nothing in between.

Another, more concise (user friendly) resource is Irish Grammar by Noel McGonagle. I have both and find McGonagle to be more convenient but admittedly sparse in some areas.
