Could somebody please help me, i have enclosed a few examples (ie, 2&3)that i dont understand the use of 'cóir'

1. Ba chóir dom dul…= I should go…

2. Aontaím nár chóir go mbeadh sé…= I agree that …??

3. ní cóir dearmad a dhéanamh air = he shouldnt be forgotten ..??

2. I agree that it ought not to be

3. Probably "it" rather than "he", but otherwise correct.

If you translate cóir in your mind as "just/fair" it might help

cóir [aidiacht]

And, since I've been harping on "ceart", I think you could freely replace "cóir" with "ceart" in all three sentences without changing the meaning. I say "ba cheart dom..." all the time, at any rate. An bhfuil an ceart agam?

I think it would change the nuance, but not the basic meaning.
