A chairde

I have just recently become aware of the animated world of the Daltaí Forums. I came across an archived discussion on the origins of the name Corca Dhuibne. The discussion was very speculative and I'm not sure whether a definitive answer was agreed. My understanding is that the name means the "people of Duibhne" - Duibhne being a local deity in pre-Christian times.

My interest in this stems from the fact that I have just bought a house there with a view to permanent move.

Beidh orm feabhas a chur ar mo chuid Gaeilge

Tá an ceart agat sa teideal, Corca Dhuibhne, leis an dá 'h'.

Sea, is ionann 'Corca' agus 'coirce' go bunúsach. Thugtaí ar an gcaoi chéanna 'Síol x' ar go leor dreamanna sa seanam.

Go mairir an teach nua agus go dtreisir i do chuid Ghaelainne.

My understanding is;
Corca Dhuibhne, the race of Duibhne, a grandson of ancient King Conary II and son of the legendary Carbery Musc.
Tomás also known as Enfield.
