Full respect for your Mme President McAlisee (sorry if got spelling wrong - I think I heard here surname on TV, never saw it written). She is a real (as we say) "ray of light in the kingdom of darkness". You need more politicians like her who prove their patriotism and devotion with deeds and not some lip service.

As to the change of name plates, I figure its a good idea, being as other countries with more than one official language have both names on their nameplates. It would be perculiar though if someone were to ask "whats happening with EireIreland these days" and run the names together, though I'm sure anyone who would be at those meetings would know better.

Thanks for posting the story, Aonghus. I hope the officials use Irish as much as possible in the EU. It doesn't do much good to just have it official by name.
