(is téacs 'scríofa', dá bhrí seo le hearráid, b'fhéidir. what i'm attempting to say is, the 'text' in the book is 'handwritten' and therefore i may make errors in my transcription. ar scor ar bith, seo é. at any rate........

i did give 'the complete sentence' as it is in the book.
even formatted the text (almost!) the same.
however i did leave off periods, etc.
lines 2,5,6, & 9 have peroids.
lines 3,6, & 8 have commas
lines 4 & 7 have ;
i'm counting the title (taisbeánadh) as line 1
actually, line 2 is close to the title and there is a space btwn lines 2 &3. maybe line 2 is part of the title, resulting in 2 quatrains?
cad é sin, "taisbeánadh?"

i'm quite certain that i did render all dots as 'h' except that i missed the one you caught in line 8.

other changes:
line 5 it looks like " do 'n " rather than "don"
line 6 "báiadh" should be "báthadh"
"raiste" should be "ráidhte"

is "ni bh-fuil" the 'old' way to write 'Níl?'

would you be so kind as to comment on my wee feeble attempt to use gaeilge in my original post? grmma!
