Sometimes I'm in a mood to help with a tattoo in Irish, sometimes not. What I really regret is never getting a chance to see the outcomes. If anyone reading this has a tattoo in Irish, or knows someone who has --- especially a tattoo that Daltaí has helped with -- please take a picture of it and post it on the web! Maybe one of you could set up a site specifically devoted to tattoos in Irish? Bheadh sé sin ar fheabhas! |

"please take a picture of it and post it on the web!" especially if it is in a private place. If it is, I can take the pic if you cannot reach... |

Funny, or just inappropriate? Yeah I suppose it would be pretty nifty to see some Gaeilge tattoos. Fáilte Roimh Cheartúcháin Correct me for the love of God... I'm a perfectionist! : )

It's good to see at least one advocacy group has the "cheek" to promote their language! |

The only tattoo I have in Irish is "ÉIRE" across my back. I have a few other Celtic influenced tats as well. You can see them if you want on http://360.yahoo.com/croga75 Ní Bheidh Mo Leithéid Arís Ann!

Maith thú, a Chróga! Tá ceist agam ort: an mbeifeá sásta... would you be willing to take charge a future "Tatúnna i nGaeilge" (or "Gaeilge ar Chraiceann", or whatever) gallery site? The tats are out there already, and most people don't mind being seen. I think it's just a matter of getting the word out. |

The reason you can't find your initials is that there is no "J" and no "W" in the Irish alphabet. Sorry. Is minic a bhris beál duine a shrón.

Unlike the tattoo folks who subsequently get interested in Irish, I am starting to wonder if I shouldn't get a tatto after all: perhaps the rules for eclipsis with prepositions ? |

Oorah James. About the Tattoo site Dennis, I would have no idea how to even start one of those. Any suggestions? Ní Bheidh Mo Leithéid Arís Ann!

Is diabhalta an mac thú a Chróga, bail ó Dhia ort. Tá sé ort ceart go leor, fairplay to you. Is mór an ráiteas é an tatú. It could become a fashion, the Irish tattoo, cá bhfios. |

http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/6644/1513/1600/mothatu.jpg All that says is = foolish people get tattoos that you cant understand. It makes sense, I feel the same way about Kanji tatoos. Unless you speak and asian or japanese language, whats the point, you have to hope it says what you THINK it does. Ní Bheidh Mo Leithéid Arís Ann!
