Dennis- Go raibh mile maith agat! The sound clips from the Conamara album "Gugalaí Gug" on
http://www.futafata.com/ were wonderful, and blessedly slow in tempo.
Fiacc- I'm learning Irish as a tourist would now and not pursing it as an academic might and my goal is not really to learn Irish from the songs, but to play them in the car so I can practice the speech patterns- teaching my tongue I guess. Reading the lyrics as a singer speaks full sentences "works" for me too, as most web sites have mere snip-its of dialogue to follow. I'd be happy if I could learn to read Irish in this way without any understanding, and add vocabulary later- kinda like a kid might. This whole mess might seem backward, but I'm not ready to go back to grammar school for any language quite yet:) Thanks for the music reccomendation and
www.gaellinn.com seems great too.
