That appears to be the same thing, just repackaged. It's a shame they didn't re-master the tapes onto CD -- for that kind of price, who wants tapes? Here's my tuppence on the Linguaphone course -- don't ever pay retail for it. It's two books & some tapes, hardly worth US$360. Grammar is explained pretty well and the lessons are fairly interesting, but there's no consistent dialect on it -- it appears to be an attempt at "Lárchanúint". Someone learning from this course alone will be fairly well understood, but may have trouble understanding others, since "lárchanúint" isn't a real dialect that anyone speaks (except for perhaps a few RTE presenters). On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give this course a 7 -- but only if it's bought at a reasonable price (under US$100). At full retail price, I'd rate it a 3. It's a nice course to add to your arsenal, but don't rely upon it exclusively -- and don't pay too much for it. http://www.gaeilge.org FRC - Fáilte Roimh Cheartúcháin
