I am stuck on these parts of these sentences
I have enclosed the sentences for context.

1. is éard.
2. ins -is this a shortened version of 'isteach'?

ins an = sa(n) = "in the".

"sa(n)" is a short form of older "ins an", which is still in use in Donegal Irish.
