In a now-defunct thread from a couple of weeks ago, Croga75 asked: has anyone ordered from litriocht.com from the US. if so. how long does it take. I responded that I had just placed an order worth €295, which was shipped by Litríocht on 7 February via Economy (surface) mail. I also mentioned at the time that Caitlín at Litríocht had reduced the shipping fee from the auto-generated €130 to a much more reasonable €50. My order arrived Friday, 17 February. 10 days in transit, so we can assume that although it was meant for surface mail, it was probably put on an aeroplane. This happens sometimes, when they find the cargo hold has some excess space. So what might have taken 3-4 weeks turned out far faster. And the odds of this happening for you are far better than playing the lotto, so you may as well opt for surface unless you really need 100% guaranteed haste. There's a huge savings to be had, and your parcel might well arrive just as fast as if you'd selected airmail. As usual, my order was well packed. Place your orders from Litríocht with confidence. They're wonderful people with whom to deal. Le meas, Cionaodh http://www.gaeilge.org FRC - Fáilte Roimh Cheartúcháin

A Chionaod, Traolach de Brún anseo. I have ordered many times from Litriocht. I live in Vancouver, Canada. All parcels from them usually took as in your case, an average of 10 days. They usually try and save you money when they can as regards to postage costs. Sometimes they might send your order out in 2 separate parcels to cut down the postage costs for you. The postage out there is more expensive. I've had tons of things sent over here from the UK and more recently Ireland over the years. The service at Litriocht is great. I'm really happy with all of the orders I have placed with them so far over the last couple of years. The price of the products there is quite reasonable, it's just the postage that adds to it a bit. The selection and service there is fantastic though I must say. Slán, Traolach |
