Seirbhíseach Dé Saighdiúir Dé Leantóir Dé (but this sounds odd in Irish - like God's trailer - perhaps disciple, "deisceabal" would be a better word) Caora Dé. For Seirbhíseach Dé, you could also have Cailín/Buachaill Dé (c.f. Angelus - féach mise, cailín an Tiarna). |

Wouldn't "Giolla Dé" have the meaning of God's Follower? Larry Ackerman

More God's servant, I didn't think of it, because it is not a word in common use - but a good one. giolla [ainmfhocal firinscneach den cheathrú díochlaonadh] ógánach; freastalaí, teachtaire; duine, scraiste, diúlach (giolla na leisce). |

Are these terms definite or indefinite? There's a difference between "God's son" and "a son of God". However, you've given us the ambiguous "Son of God" which could mean either. I'll demonstrate: God's son = Jesus A son of God = Any one of us Son of Gos = Ambiguous, could refer to Jesus, or to any one of us. I believe all the terms Aonghus gave are definite. Saigdiúir Dé = God's soldier. How would you say, "I am a soldier of God"? Would it be: Is saighdiúir ar Dhia mé. Or would you use a preposition other than "ar"? "de" maybe? Thus, would you have: I am God's Soldier. Is mise Saighdiúir Dé. I am a soldier of God. Is saighdiúir le Dia mé. / Is saighdiúir de chuid Dé mé. Fáilte Roimh Cheartúcháin Correct me for the love of God... I'm a perfectionist! : )
