Has anyone downloaded this yet. What does it actualy do? Does it make everything on your computer Irish. mar shamla: start menu, windows etc. Ní Bheidh Mo Leithéid Arís Ann!

the windows xp LIP translates the whole system in irish. I tried it out on my windows xp sp2 machine and it works well. |

i dont think everyone else on my (shared) pc wants there's in irish(-fools), is there a way that just my profile can be set to irish? |

Not that I know of. If you want it really badly, you could always parition your hard disk and install a second copy of Windows XP. Fáilte Roimh Cheartúcháin Correct me for the love of God... I'm a perfectionist! : )

It even changes your start button to 'tosaigh' :) Angearaltach, no, not in XP. The new Windows Vista allows languages to be changed on-the-fly. I suggest chaging it to Irish anyway.. the other users will just have to get used to it! |

I installed it and though I don't understand a 10th of a percent of it yet (just started learning) it's great to be told "failte" during boot-up! I'm only know catching on to cut- Gearr, copy- Cóipáeil, and paste- Greamaigh. After my wife complained about my change, I learned the uninstall instructions were in Gaelic too! Therefore, don't install it unless you've a friendly Irish help desk tech standing by:) |
