I am doing a little essay and would be very grateful for any assistance. I need clarification on this. My sentence is referring to people that are seeking work: They are looking for jobs ag lorg ________ What I am unsure of is whether it is postanna (the plural which I have heard in use before) or poist which I found in the dictionary Thanking you F |

post [ainmfhocal firinscneach den chéad díochlaonadh] jab, obair, fostaíocht (chaill sé a phost mar mhúinteoir); ionad faire, éisteachta agus araile san arm (fairtheoir a chur ar post). Foirmeacha post - ainmfhocal post [ainmneach uatha] poist [ginideach uatha] poist [ainmneach iolra] post [ginideach iolra] ginideach uatha atá de dhíth ort, creidim. |

Oh Thank you! I am very grateful! I'm new to the boards, is it normal for people to post on and off with queries or is that inappropriate as it would annoy people.F |

They are looking for jobs: Tá siad ag iarraidh post I use "lorg" when I'm physically looking for something, e.g. searching through a cupboard looking something. I use "iarraidh" when I'm seeking something, e.g. looking for love, looking for a better life abroad, looking for a job, looking for prosperity. Feel free to fire questions, the regulars here on the board quite enjoy being helpful when we can. Fáilte Roimh Cheartúcháin

And don't ever feel silly about asking because chances are that my questions will always be more foolish than yours. Everybody really likes answering all the questions though. Beir bua agus beannacht |
