I am doing a little essay and would be very grateful for any assistance. I need clarification on this. My sentence is referring to people that are seeking work:

What I am unsure of is whether it is postanna (the plural which I have heard in use before)
or poist which I found in the dictionary

I use "lorg" when I'm physically looking for something, e.g. searching through a cupboard looking something.

I use "iarraidh" when I'm seeking something, e.g. looking for love, looking for a better life abroad, looking for a job, looking for prosperity.

Feel free to fire questions, the regulars here on the board quite enjoy being helpful when we can.

And don't ever feel silly about asking because chances are that my questions will always be more foolish than yours. Everybody really likes answering all the questions though.
