I ordered uhhh... some posters and Bunreacht na hÉireann a few months back, I recall it was very short....less than a week, definitely, I remember. Maybe it was only a few days

I've gotten many shipments of books from litriocht.com. There has never been any problem (wrong book shipped, lost order -- things I've encountered from another dealer in Irish books in the Dublin area). I have my orders sent "economy" but they usually arrive very quickly -- sometimes within a week! -- although that is not guaranteed.

I have used them regularly in the past and I find them quite efficient. I used to use another company (also in the Dublin area) and also had problems, but never with Litríocht.com

I like the fact that they notify you when the package has been shipped so you can approximate the time frame for delivery.

You will enjoy Buntús, Croga75, I always find I return to it.

The (semi-)translation in English is nice. The French version is just brilliant.

I order books from Litríocht several times a year (I'm located in the northeast U.S.), never a problem. If your order is a large one, Caitlín will sometimes charge you actual shipping cost instead of what their site auto-generates (which is a bit high). And although I usually elect surface mail, the shipment inevitable arrives in less than 3 weeks.

I just placed an order worth over €200 yesterday; I'll let you know when it arrives.

A Chróga --

I just got word that my order has been dispatched; I'll let you know when it finally arrives so that you'll know what to expect, timewise. It's coming Economy (surface mail) and although Caitlín warns me that it can take up to 12 weeks, my experience has been 3-4 weeks.

By the bye, I mentioned earlier that she sometimes reduces the shipping charge on large orders. The website auto-generated a €130 shipping fee for my order, whereas Caitlín is charging me only €50. They're very good people with whom to do business.

I like Oideas Gael as well, but they unfortunately don't list their full inventory online, so you'd have to write to Geraldine to see if she has what you're looking for. She's very nice as well.

Le meas,
Cionaodh

Litriocht is indeed a good company to deal with no doubt
because of Caitlín's help and effecency and their stock. I found them to be cheaper than the 2 other Irish companies I have dealt with. My last order besides the books contained a birthday gift for my grandson, a pen with his name on it - Rónán, not too common a name on this side of the world and therefore much appreciated. Now that's service!

Airmail is still regular USPS mail -- just faster than surface. Usually 7-10 days from Ireland versus the 3-4 weeks of surface mail.

Kennys' Bookshop in Galway uses some kind of special courier instead of airmail; I misremember which one.
