my family has a coat of arms that i now have as an heirloom. while i have already researched the symbols on the coat of arms, i still cant figure out what "Spes Mea in Deo" which is inscribed on it means. I have an idea but im not sure. PLease can anyone help me? |

The word for Peninsula is leithinis [ainmfhocal baininscneach] ceann tíre a théann i bhfad amach san fharraige. What the word for penisular is will depend on the context. Also, the term Erse is regarded by many as offensive. The language is called Irish (or sometimes, and in my view incorrectly, Gaelic). |

The dictionary gives "leithinseach", but i'd still prefer to see the phrase/context. |
