The word for Peninsula is

leithinis [ainmfhocal baininscneach]
ceann tíre a théann i bhfad amach san fharraige.

What the word for penisular is will depend on the context.

Also, the term Erse is regarded by many as offensive. The language is called Irish (or sometimes, and in my view incorrectly, Gaelic).

The dictionary gives "leithinseach", but i'd still prefer to see the phrase/context.
