To this effect, could we appeal to your generosity to grant space (even in small print) alongside columns such as Tuarascáil for a translation into English?

Hmm.

Maybe they can "translate" some more of the English columns into Irish while they're at it....

Dá mbeadh Michal ina chónaí chomh fada sin sa tír seo, agus chomh fréamhaithe inti agus atá sé in Éirinn, bheadh fleiscín ag dul dó ar a laghad: Czech-American. An bhfuil an nós sin le fáil thall ar chor ar bith: Czech-Irishman, Polish-Irishman, srl.?

Bhuel, níl sé anseo ach le 5 bliain, agus tá sé i gceist aige bogadh ar aghaidh.

Níl nós an fleiscín feicthe agam fós, cé gur fleiscín gasúir atá agamsa!

Ha! Fuair mé amach sibh!

Luaigh Aonghus ceist na bhfleiscíní liom le déananí, rud a chuir ag comhaireamh mé. Mar a tharlaíonn, beidh 8 mbliana slánaithe agam in Éirinn ag deireadh na míosa seo (Eanáir 2006). Tháinig mé i dtír Dé hAoine, 30 Eanáir 1998. Bhí rún agam fanacht go ceann bliana, ha ha!

Níl fleiscíní i bhfaisean san Eoraip. Ach tá téarma amháin ag teacht chun cinn in Éirinn ar na leathanta seo mar gheall ar an inimirce, "the new Irish" - na Nua-Éireannaigh, is dócha. Is Nua-Éireannach mé! ;-)

Michal

Fáilte romhat inár measc, Michal! Is maith ann thú. Agus is breá liom an téarma a chruthaigh tú duit féin ar do phrofile: "cainteoir dóchais"! :-)

Go raibh maith agat, Dennis. Ní mise a chum an frása sin, áfach. Chuala mé ón sochtheangeolaí John Walsh é, ag léacht a thug sé in UCD le déanaí.
