A chairde --

Have any of you ever successfully used OCR software to recognise old script Irish? If so, what program did you use, and what techniques did you need to apply? Was it able to successfully differentiate séimhiú from the síneadh fada?

Le meas,
Nicole

I tried it and it did not work, so I will get a sean-chló font and try it again

The results were not so good...

I've tried "training" OmniPage to recognise old script, but it still only recognised about a quarter of the characters correctly.
