A chairde -- Have any of you ever successfully used OCR software to recognise old script Irish? If so, what program did you use, and what techniques did you need to apply? Was it able to successfully differentiate séimhiú from the síneadh fada? Le meas, Nicole Nicole Apostola http://cuisle.blogspot.com

I've tried "training" OmniPage to recognise old script, but it still only recognised about a quarter of the characters correctly. http://www.gaeilge.org FRC - Fáilte Roimh Cheartúcháin
