A chairde,
I once again ask for anyone and everyone's help.
As Cathaoirleach of An Cumann Gaelach i have to organise one of the colleges biggest events - An Fhéile Cheilteach / The Celtic Ball..

I would really appreciate any suggestions you would have - I want to keep it Gaelach, but it has to be open to all - even those gan focal Gaeilge acu.

I was thinking about a comedian - Dara O'Briain? He's got Gaeilge and he's funny! ? ? Tommy Tiernan isn't available. Joe Rooney was there last year.

DJ - Spin 1038's Top 40 oifigiúil na hEireann dude.. He's the best known DJ who does a chlár as Gaeilge. ? ?

Céilí band - I actually don't know any. I know it's shameful.. Any suggestions?

Band - Kila weren't very popular last year. Which bands had songs in that Seachtain na Gaeilge albam?

Please i'd really appreciate ANY thoughts or suggestions - it's gona be massive and if it's crap im dead! Even if you've no original ideas please tell me if you like other ppls.

Go raibh míle míle maith agaibh!
Domhnall.

Maith thú a Dhomhnaill,
I strongly suggest the following artists for the band slot'
(I'm a pro musician and know my stuff ;)

Bréag - Great band from Belfast, sing in Irish with attitude over a wonderful ska groove - A Bob Marley mixed with punk kinda thing.

Lasairfhíona Ní Chonaola -

You can listen to her beautiful voice via craiceailte -
Craic FM on the right side of the page, 5th song down
(Oileán na Teiscinne)

Go n-éirí leat
