A chairde,

Tá sé i gceist agam staidéar acadúil a dhéanamh ar stair agus litríocht na Gaeilge i dTuaisceart Chúige Laighean(Seanríocht na Mí, Oirghiall, Ó Méith agus fiú Baile Átha Cliath srl.) sa 17ú agus san 18ú haois déag.
Tá an leabharliosta á dhréachtadh agam faoi láthair. Bheinn go mór faoi chomaoin agaibh dá dtabharfadh sibh cibé eolas atá agaibh faoi leabhair, irisleabhair, tréimhseacháin, suímh idirlín, cláracha teilifíse/raidió srl. a bhfuil teanga agus litríocht na Gaeilge sa
tréimhse agus sa cheantar sin mar ábhar acu, dom.

Gabhaim buíoch libh roimh ré.

"Mid-Sixteenth-Century Numbers and Phrases", Ériu, vol. vii, 1914

Maidir leis an nGaeilge seo, "it seems fairly safe to infer that Borde probably recorded the speech of some part of the north of the ancient Laighin (Leinster) bordering on Meath" a scríobh údar an ailt.
