Tá alt spéisiúil ar an mBBC faoi leabhar nua, The Meaning of Tingo by Adam Jacot de Boinod.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4248494.stm

Tá focail mar sin i nGaeilge, ar ndóigh. Mar shampla:

ioscaid = the hollow at the back of the knee
ainbhlinn = froth from mouth of decaying corpse

Samplaí eile?

Is féidir é! Ach ar an láimh eile, is féidir go dtáinig an "aosánach" ó "aois", agus an chéad cheann ó "aos sí". Níl a fhios agam.
