I believe this is the type of pro-active stance businesses need to take in order to put Gaeilge back in the mainstream. Start the transaction as gaeilge but convert as bearla if necessary. For me, if and when I get the chance to go to Dublin, I will definitely stop in (mo bhean cheile and I are addicted to our morning latte!!) and give it my all to stay as gaeilge for the entire transaction.

It's a two way street. Businesses must be willing and the customer must be willing.

You can even get dinner there. They are open til midnight (kitchen til 9).

You would be hard pressed to find better value in rip off Dublin.

My assessment of BAC, exactly. Wonderful city, great for the tourist. Book of Kells, Tart With A Cart, etc. But not what I'd call a "bargain" by any means!!

Still, I would like to see the Book of Kells and some of the other historical sites, the GPO and the aforementioned "Tart" being just a few. But, give me the WEST!!! My heart goes back to the area west of Galway and northward..just can't get that place out of my mind. The people were so genuine, the language was everywhere....but, I could go on forever!!
