My wife saw this in a book and asked me to translate and I came up with "Journey homeward my heart". The Irish saying was in context with a death. Is the translation as Béarla correct and is it a common saying as Geailge?

That should be Abhaile and not Abhaire!

I would say literally it says 'Home(ward) to my heart'.
