Céard is brí le do shiniú?
quote:

Ar ní gnáth orgain cen scéola do ernam esi do innisin scél dara n-esi is mesi dano in fer sin

Níl sean ghaeilge agam faraor. Deir google liom gurbh as Leabhar na hUidre an tsliocht. Ach cén brí atá agatsa leis?

Níl mo Ghaeilge go an-mhaith, beidh mé ag scríobh seo as Béarla

It's old Irish. I got it from a website of old quotes from the original Irish of the Annals of the Four Masters and such but I can't find the site. Itwas in my Leabharcanna before my other computer crashed. I just checked, I think it was seangoidelc or goidelic but I can't seem to find it ...

Regardless, the full quote is

"Ar ní gnáth orgain cen scéola do ernam esi do innisin scél dara n-esi is mesi dano in fer sin"
For never is there to be a massacre without a survivor to escape to tell the tale, and I am indeed that man
-Tuan, Scél Tuain meic Cairill

I hope I got the gist of your statement and managed to translate it.

"Ar ní gnáth orgain cen scéola do ernam esi do innisin scél dara n-esi is mesi dano in fer sin"
