Hi!
I might be moving to Ireland soon, and was wondering if anyone knew any Gaeltacht areas which will be kind to beginners of Irish. :D I was thinking Co. Meath sounded nice. Any opinions on this? Also I would need to get a job, but would that be difficult with my Beginning Irish?

Co Meath is a very small Gaeltacht.

If you really try, any Gaeltacht will be fine. Having only beginning Irish will not stop you getting a job - there are people in all Gaeltachts with no Irish, and employed.

Being willing to improve should help.

Have a look at http://www.udaras.ie

Every single Gaeltacht is absolutely marvellous in every way! If you lived in Rath cairn in Meath you could work in Navan - a big enuf town not too far away from the Gaeltacht and live sa Ghaeltacht.
If you search hard enough im actually definite you can find something perfect

Go n-éirí leat!!
