Hi guys! big match tonight here! my question:Is Shelbourne an Irish placename? Siol O'Broin? and if so where does it originate from? knowing that the team takes its name from the Shelbourne Road in South East Dublin! |

there seems to be several of these 'siol' names around the country! It's a pity the Barony names have no official use here anymore! The Dubs would be galled to discover theire team has Wexford origins!! ;) |

What did you think of the game, Diarmo? Dissapointing now to go look for the win, but hopefully we'll do enough over there. On the foot.ie forums I heard Síol na mBroin as the name, it was a UCD fan too, he should know, being a scholar and all. Síol na mBroin abú. |
