It depends of what follows. Is mise Lughaidh = I am Lughaidh. Is mise a rinne é = it is me who did it. In Irish, you use the same pattern, because the verbal "is" isn't conjugated, and it literally means: Is mise Lughaidh = Am I Lughaidh. Is mise a rinne é = Is/Am me who did it |
