How does 'cúpla focal' translate into English?

Tá cúpla focal agam - "I speak a few words", i.e. "I am very much a beginner".

In English one would probably say "I speak a little"

Person A: Do you speak Spanish?
Person B: A little.


Duine A: An bhfuil Gaeilge agat?
Duine B: Cúpla focal.

Hey Jax, I have used this site twice to obtain a translation. I like this site...people are very helpful and I trust the information they provide. No need to get all sarcastic on me. Another reason why questions like this are well asked here is for other learners such as myself, who like to read through the posts and pick up bits like this.
