we live in intersting times and one hears a lot of revisionism. that there is no such thing as being irish, were all europeans etc (this is true of course!). a lot of ideas about our identity were all a figment of our imagination. Most of this emenates from certain sunday papers sold in ireland who tend to look east for their inspiration. I found the following link interesting.
