A chairde, I've heard "adh mór ort" rather than "leat". Le meas, Chris |

Go n-éirí leat - May you "succeed" Go n-éirí go geal leat - May you succeed wonderfully Ádh mór ort - "Big luck on you" I don't think "go n-éiri an t-ádh leat" would be heard in the wild, I don't think it's correct... it would mean "may the luck succeed with you" which doesn't really make sense. I may be wrong... |

Wow - thanks for all responses so quickly! Initially, I thought of just the word for luck, but now realize wishing someone good luck can be said a few different ways. Go raith maith agaibh! Dáithí |

go n-éirí an t-adh leat was the first way I learned how to say it. I don't like it because to non-gaeilgeoirí it sounds like your wishing someone a good toilet (t-adh leat) |

"Go néiri an t-ádh leat" a bheadh agamsa. Ní bheadh locht agam air "Ádh mór ort" ná ar "Ádh mór leat" |
