Sódh?
Are folks on Daltai/ familiar with the irish verb. It is listed as a literary word in Dineen?
Dineen defines ir as meaning "to turn." It is not in Foclo/ir Po/ca, though in O'Donaill. I wondered if people have come across Sódh and how it would be used? I know cas means to turn as in cartai/ a chasadh, to turn cards. Can Sódh be treated as a literary or "ornate" synonym?

Thanks

DC

Sódh has a long entry in Dineen. The sources he gives suggest it is literary.

I've never heard or read it, so I can't comment on usage.
