Is mise arís! I just wanted to know, is there any known Irish translation for the name Edel? When I was in primary school, everyone elses name was called out in Irish on the roll. Mine stayed the same.

Edel (spelt that way) is a popular name in the Donegal gaeltacht, so perhaps it is an irish name.
