Bheul caithfidh me a ra nach bhfuil an teanga cool sna la ata inniu ann ach an oiread. Ta an t-adh ag mo chailin is me fein go bhfuil an teanga liofa go leor againn (rinne mo chailin an ardtesit tri Gaeilge) ach nuair a bhionn muid amuigh leis ar gcairde, a bhfuil an teanga acu chomh maith, nil focal Gaeilge le cloisteail i measc na hoiche. Cuireann se bron is dioma orm nach bhfuil muintir na hEirinn sa bhlian 2005 sasta an Gaeilge a usaid mar teanga beo. Ach ta an locht ar na nGaeil fein. Chun sceal gairid a dheanamh de, ni usaidtear an Gaeilge mar nil si cool. Nil an Gaeilge le cloisteal ar MTV, Friends or Sex in the City. Nil si le cloisteal sna chlareacha uafaseacha sin Desperate Housewives no The OC. Ta an Bhearla le cloisteal in ngach ait ar fud an domhain. Is teanga idirnaisiunta i an Bhearla agus ta an Gaeilge i dtriobloid mar teanga beo agus sin sin. English is just too goddam useful for the modern day Irish to bother using their native tongue and unfortunately that is the reality of the situation. Forgive my pessimism but we can't ignore the horrible truth that will continue to scurge our uncool native tongue for years to come.

is brea liom nach mbionn an gailge ag bunnaithe ar gclar teilifise cosuil le MTV,friends, na sex in the city. ca bhfuil an daoine oga diffruil? ma theastaigh uait labhart le caoire, ba coir duit ag dul direach isteach an bpairc. i like english as well but to say that it is too damn useful to use any other language doesnt make much sense to me. there would be nothing as boring as being in a place surrounded by people talking about friends still thats only my opinion.

Aspalóid ginearálta atá ó na Gaeilgeoirí ar fud an domhan, methinks – caithfear na focail mar: díomá, náire, locht, (and certainly scurge!) a bhaint as na habairtí a dtéann leis an teanga sin – Labhair an teanga go bródúil agus bígí go sona sásta agus sibh á labhairt -- cibé áit ina bhfuil tú agus beidh sé cool agus tusa ‘s do chailín cool right along with it a Dháithí – i bhfad níos cooler ná na daoine on Friends!

‘sé sin mo dhá thuairimse, pé scéal é!

: )

Má tá thú buartha faoi bheith cool, bí. Níl an gcuid eile againn!
