I need some help and don't know whom to speak to. I am trying to set up a name for the society for creative anachronism. I'd like it to be: Sadb the Mad and Merry *G* Quaint? Well I'd like to have the whole thing translated into Irish Gaelic. Not too bad so far but the thing is it has to be period. Soooo... I have to have the "Mad and Merry" Part translated into 11th century Irish Gaelic. I know, The society people had the weirdest ideas, But do you know anyone that could help me in this? I love the name it is beautiful but... Well according to our heraldry i have to have it ALL period. If you or someone you know could help, or if you direct me to the right place... ? Thank you so much for your time and if you can't help, oh well, I'll just have to drag a bit of the mundane into my name. *G* Thanks for your time. |

I suggest Sadb Gealt Suaimhneach I'm sure Gealt is period (Suibhne Gealt), but I'm not sure about a period translation of "Merry" Beir bua Aonghus |

Sadb Gealt Meidhreach, mar sin! Ach an mbaineann meidhreach leis an Ré cheart? Beir bua Aonghus |
