1.tá sé áiféiseach go mbíonn daltaí gaeilge a fholaim le haigh 13 (nó mar sin) bliana, agus gur nach bhfuil gaeilge líofa ag formhór na ndaoine tar éis sin-cosúil mé féin. It is ridiculous that Irish language students are ...?..to conceal for 13 years(or like that),and are not fluent in Irish ..?..the majority of people after that-like myself. Le meas Antoin |

What is it you want Antóin? The Irish above is broken. It ought probably read as follows: tá sé áiféiseach go mbíonn air daltaí gaeilge a fhoghlaim le haigh 13 (nó mar sin) bliana, agus gur nach bhfuil gaeilge líofa ag formhór na ndaoine tar éis sin ina dhiadh sin -cosúil mé liom féin. It is ridiculous that students must learn Irish for 13 (or so) years, and that after that time that most people are not fluent in Irish - as I myself am not. |

i found this sentence in a post from the "Irish only" board. I usually go there to read and try to understand the conversation and sentence construction, but this line confused me! Le meas Antoin |
